we love worms. so much gorgeous imagery and sound. the monochrome gladiator battle...every time they used the VOICE......i love dramatic shadows, light, silhouettes.

enjoying this so much—the spy shenanigans are pretty silly but if I wanted realistic spy stuff I'd just watch The Americans. Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are soooo good.

gorgeous. I first watched this probably more than a decade ago, on a crappy little streaming website, so it was great to see this in theatres. I forgot how magical the music is. And of course, the surreal animation.

we had this on vhs growing up, and i don't think i've watched it in well over a decade. it still holds up, and i appreciate the adults a lot more now—his mom loves him and would do anything to get back home! old man marley misses his son but is afraid to reach out! and on the flipside, the violence makes me cringe more because it's so comically violent and they would have definitely died lmao. i still can't watch the nail scene.

I first watched this maybe ten years ago, and I remember liking it. Rewatching it now and—everything hits harder. Criticism is easy. Great art can come from anywhere. Le Festin is perhaps the most beautiful song in the world?

I haven't actually sat down and watched this movie all the way through before. I liked Joker and Dent being villainous; I think I've oversaturated myself with action movies recently that the action itself was less interesting.

Extremely Wes Anderson. Enjoyed so many things: horizontal scrolling shots, the yellow sets, the softened quaint violence, the romantic music (e.g. when the song plays on the jukebox), the chef.

this is...a marvel movie. Things happened and nothing was engaging. I know CGI fatigue is a tired argument but whew I really felt it here.

I liked the individual parts: the cast (Sofia Boutella! Sterling K. Brown!), mythology, and style. The overall plot was less engaging, and the dialogue was sometimes quite silly. But this is, like, my kind of movie.

This was my second time watching, and it made a lot more sense. I wish there were more rpatz/protagonist story and less misogyny. lmao.

So stylish and fun. I went into this without watching the trailer or knowing anything about it, which I recommend. I think I liked the mystery of the first one more. The setting felt very timely.

This was...interesting. I liked Namor and the introduction of the underwater world. So much of the movie was dark to the point I thought there was something wrong with the theatre screen.

Yet Another Rewatch

I remember not quite liking this season as much as season 1, and upon rewatch I like it even less. I'm not interested in big world-ending plots with mysterious organizations, and I don't enjoy the weird ninja stuff.

I enjoyed this, but there was a scene in the first act that made me feel so viscerally uncomfortable/horrified. Time loops are fun though!

Realistic spy stuff! I would enjoy this more if there was less camera shakiness.

I appreciate the more grounded take on super spy shenanigans, as compared to Mission Impossible or Fast & Furious. I could not get behind some of the character decisions.

How do I rate this movie? It's both a 4/4 and a 1/4. Every line of dialogue is overdramatic, both in content and delivery. The skateboarding is incredible.

The execution of this was not that great. I had trouble getting attached to characters and their motivations. The Tusken Raiders story in episode 2 was a standout.

I liked the music and visuals. The plot was strangely executed. Overall, good Disney vibes.

Rewatched this with my partner, who hasn't seen it before. I loved Daredevil the first time I watched it and I'm excited to revisit it.

I've never seen any of the Bond movies. The colours were beautiful and reminded me of film. The plot and characters were less interesting to me.

I don't get Evangelion, which has to do more with me than the series. This movie was visually stunning, though I didn't follow the plot. I wish Rei could be happy and domestic for the whole movie. The fanservice was egregious and distracting.

Loved this. It's an anthology of short Star Wars-verse stories by different anime studios. Favourite episodes: The Village Bride (beautiful music!), The Ninth Jedi (omg), and Lop and Ocho (gorgeous art/environments).

It's cute and charming. I don't know anything about the Beatles, but it'd probably be enjoyable to Beatles fans. It's easy and light to watch.

I'm late to the party, but now I finally understand the memes. The music was good, Mando is fun, I would die for Baby Yoda. The heist episode, which is my favourite genre, was very fun. This is the way.

It's fine. I probably would have liked this more if I hadn't just watched the original trilogy, so I found myself very bored during the origin story because all the story beats were familiar.

A lot better than I was expecting, because everyone says this movie is bad. It's fun! Venom the character is fun. The plot was not very interesting. I'm glad Anne and Dan were good characters and there wasn't an annoying love triangle shoved in.

Everything happens so much. I thought having both Sandman and Venom in this made it too crowded, and found a lot of plot points silly. Emo Peter dancing down the street was very funny. Disappointed in the way MJ was written throughout this entire trilogy. Love triangles are tiring.

I liked the identity crisis plot. Doc Ock's arms were very cool. I thought the initial fusion machine scene was overdramatic and silly, and then the following hospital scene gave me whiplash because of how violent and horrifying it was (I still have that shot with the nails stuck in my mind…ugh). The romance remains tiresome.

I haven't watched this the whole way through before. It feels very much a product of its time with the weird love story and damsel in distress plot points.

the absolutely bananas action scenes continue. I feel tired just watching Tom Cruise run after the bad guys with his infinite set of lungs. I was mostly excited to see Henry Cavill in this. also, the many NO U twists and 5D chess manoeuvres.

pretty fun, I was more intrigued by the missing mother plot than the viscount one, but apparently there's a sequel planned? so hopefully that will be explored more.

I didn't like this one as much as the 4th movie, but it was still fun. There were lots of NO U moments and I had no idea what was going to happen. I wish I were cool enough to ride a motorcycle.

very dark and joyless. I adore the comic and I think I wouldn't have understood this movie if I hadn't read it before. The musical cues were strange and the way the flashback scene between the Comedian and Silk Spectre was shot felt incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary. Watchmen was never great with women (idk if a product of its satirization or just the usual men writing women thing, I'm not a scholar) and I just have to look past it to enjoy the thing.

this is a fun movie. I did some Destiny item management while rewatching it. The plot is confusing, but Catherine Zeta-Jones is beautiful and everyone is having a good time.
