season 1 rewatch completed: july 2025

  • the cat and the claw: FUN
  • feat of clay: omg this was actually so dark…they basically waterboarded clayface with clay? omg
  • joker’s favor: i didn’t realize harley quinn originates from this show! she’s so much fun. also joker is appropriately menacing here…him following the civilian’s movements for years is maybe the scariest thing he’s done so far!!
  • vendetta: killer croc aka former pro wrestler…also the dark and stormy night atmosphere here was really good!
  • heart of steel: wow part ii has some genuine horror to it, with the uncanny exorcist robot movements and robot murders that would be horrific if they were human. also, babs!! <3
  • if you’re so smart, why aren’t you rich?: this riddler depiction: i’m a fan! also the ending with the terrified business guy is pretty dark!!
  • joker’s wild: the blackjack bit was SO fun
  • tyger tyger: furry ep
  • day of the samurai: obi-wan vs anakin…
  • almost got 'im: this was so fun lol. the giant coin origin story?? everyone being so mean to each other <3 the no u. catwoman bringing it full circle.
  • what is reality?: tsukuyomi ep. there were even shadow clones. great riddles and fantasy sequences. nightmare fuel ending though. if you die in vr you die in real life.
  • i am the night: i was like huh i wonder why the villain is called the jazzman and then the jazzman pulled a big gun out of a guitar case. aight! goofiness of the villain aside, nice introspection and angst.
  • zatanna: dc timeline shenanigans out in full force here. my intro to zatanna was in young justice, where she and robin have a thing, lol. she and bruce are very cute here though. the way he fishes for info about her hypothetical husband
  • harley and ivy: man this ep rules for so many reasons. they meet at a HEIST. but they were roommates. fuck da joker. they tie up Batman (this is a kids show). harold…
  • the demon’s quest: when talia, bruce, and dick all met and everyone was just staring at each other…lmao. also the scene where the assassins literally rip batman’s suit off so he’s shirtless for the rest of the episode. also he gets chained up. why did they do that
  • his silicon soul: ooooo. blade runner ep. a sincere depiction of batman’s no-kill rule
