    What’s in a name

    anhvn is the name of this website and should always be written in lowercase. Anh is the name of the author and can be capitalized as normal. It’s spelled as ‘Anh’ and pronounced like the name ‘Ann’ (rhymes with ‘fan’).

    Ethos

    I’m interested in cultivating my own digital space that I control, away from social media networks. This website is the product of that. Some of my guiding principles are:

    • Personal over professional: the primary purpose of this site is to be a personal space. I’m not optimizing for hiring managers or clients, though they’re part of my potential audience.
    • Local over global reach: things should be meaningful to myself and the small subset of people who might care. I’m not trying to connect with as many people as possible.
    • Gardening over architecture: I can organize (garden) as I go along; it’s better to have messy content to organize than to spend all my time planning instead of creating.
    • Earnest over impartial: I am trying to be positive, curious and excited about what I’m doing.
