Weeknotes 16

Truthfully, there is not much to recap from the past couple of weeks because I spent all of my time playing Destiny.

Destiny 2

The Final Shape, the newest expansion, came out on June 4 and completely consumed me. My review: it’s excellent, and Destiny is the most beautiful game in the world.

Highlights:

  • Contest mode raiding: as usual, I spent a silly number of hours attempting the new raid when it came out; unlike other times, it was so hard that we only got past the first encounter.
  • Excision: cool as hell, good cutscenes, no notes. Raiding in a team of 12 back when it was glitched was one of the funniest things I’ve ever done in the game, so getting a real 12-player activity was fun.
  • Dual Destiny: cool, novel, loved it. I love to choose violence.

Some screenshots:

My guardian emoting a 'tada!' pose, arms outstretched, next to a statue of a disembodied hand with six fingers.

A veiled statue, lit from behind with pink light.

Two guardians dancing in front of a dark nebulous sky.

A twisted, winding hallway.

Running down a long, dark hall lined with statues of hands.

Truly, what a time to be alive.

Other than that: I’m slowly making my way through the Interactive SVG Animations course by Nanda Syahrasyad. I made a fun website at work and some nerds (affectionate) liked it. I’m excitedly watching a new leaf unfurl on my monstera. House of the Dragon is back?

I’m slowly emerging from my Destiny-induced haze though so hopefully my next post will be more interesting, lol, lmao
